Fantastic interior details! The clincher for me are the open windows on the right side -- the style that opens out from the middle.  That's just amazing.  Thanks for sharing.

That looks like the BV kit.  I have one with interior details, but don't have room for it on my layout.  I guess that I'll hold on to it until it is time to expand the layout.

Yes it is a Berkshire Valley kit. The gas station is kit #818 and the interior is kit #819

If someone has one of these in their stash, I would like to buy it. I know, it's a shot in the dark. If not, I will have to make one I guess?

My first real job, back in 1956, was in a station nearly identical to that one except it had Union 76 markings.  My friend's dad, Devere Hansen, owned it and it finally closed in 1970 or so.  After I worked there a canopy was put over the island and a big electric sign was installed out on the left front corner by the sidewalk.

A mirror image of that looks nearly exactly like the Standard Oil Service Station that my father frequented. Thanks for the fond memories. I remember watching the service attendant check the oil and wash the window shield every time he filled the tank. I even remember the owners name Mr Fowler. 

I bought most of my baseball cards there. And my dad had most all of his car repairs done there. (Time period I recall was 1955 through 1965)

Weren’t the gas stations typically called service stations in those days?

Beautiful work, brings back a lot of memories. You can still smell the oil and gas on your hands!
