I know.  I thought they were hokey too, then I saw a photograph like this.  I never saw one in person.  Nice catch Lee.

Yes, Lee, They've been shipping them that way for at least 20+ years. They bolt together pretty quick out in the field, too, when prefabbed at the assembly plant. We used to get them in Gons, but, like this one, they use former TOFC flats, modified for the task.

Lee, I like the St. Louis scene you captured...I may have to attempt to duplicate it by putting an unused switch with wooden ties on an empty gondola car

Everyone, fantastic pictures everyone, yesterday, driving along Riverside Drive, along the river in Clarksville, Tennessee, I noticed the RJ Corman swivel bridge turned to the center position do to the high water, allowing tug boats to pass through. Happy Railroading Everyone

The Charles Street Yard is coming to life finally...the ABBA F 3's that will pull the Super Chief next week came in for service this weekend after 5 years in boxes...changed the battery and she rived right up
