My coal loading facility is not done yet, but you get the idea. I want to cover the upper deck and stairway and put a ventilation and dust collecting system in. I put blue lights under the loading area just for a different effect. Curt
Curt - your coal loading facility looks terrific!! Your people figures are well placed. Your blue lighting idea is pretty cool too..... like Blue Coal. That reminds me ... I still want to get a couple of Blue Coal hoppers. I'll put that on my York list.
Thanks, Patrick. Somewhere I read they turn on a blue light to signify coal is being loaded. Something to do with the dust. I don’t know whether that is true or not. The Lionel coal car three packs are a very good deal and the car numbers are in sequence. Curt
Curt, that is an awesome coal loading facility'.. I like the blue lights'.. Gives it an interesting look'..✔👍👌
Curt.
You're coal loading facility is a eye catcher. The different things like the blue light brings it alive. Good work . May I ask. Have you used Super O track on all You're layout. Thanks .
Hey farmerjohn, yes the entire layout is 55 year old Super O track except one 22” straight length of Gargraves that goes thru the inside my locomotive repair shed. Curt

Hey all, just got back from a Oregon trip. I did not think there were any trams left using overhead wires. Well Portland still uses them. These are made by Skoda out of Czech Republic. Not in bad shape considering it was made in 2002. $5 for an all day pass. Could not catch an operator switching the points to change tracks. Remotely done from the cab or a central control - I'll have to look that up.

Hey Patrick, hopefully the deer stay where they are. How did you get the rust on your track? Is that a paint? Curt
Great photos guys. Curt your layout is very impressive. Patrick as always wonderful photos and stories, Larry what threat guy to offer up your first response team. Farmer John what an amazing layout. How is the river coming along? Nothing from me, but please keep the photos and stores coming.
Thanks guys for the comments. That area of my layout is the most finished . I hope to someday get it to the detail level of Trumptrains. I've drawn a lot of ideas from this forum. Thanks to all of you that share.
Denny, those are some great looking vehicles, many of which I haven’t seen on the market before!! The bus and Texaco tank truck are especially neat!

Curt - I used Woodland Scenics Rusty Rail paint which comes in a magic marker like tube.
