My favorite part of Train Collecting (or whatever it is that I do with toy trains), is meeting friends at York. I'll likely be there all day Thurs and Friday. Would be great to meet face to face with some of you that have been virtual friends on OGR (and other forums).

I have to make it to York one of these years. Every year since retirement I have told my wife that this will be the year I am going to York - it never happens. It's a loooong drive from Minnesota. Some day.
Wouldn't miss it! We'll be at our usual table, I45 in the Blue Hall. Stop by ad say hello. Aways great to meet forum members in person.

Anyone going to York and finding 1-3 of the T-Rproductions roundhouse sections that do not cost an arm and a leg, would you mind getting them for me? I'm not seeing these show up on the evilBay these days. I can arrange pmt and getting them shipped to me in Ca with you...

I hate to be discouraging, but here are a few thoughts from someone who has looked at and brought one of these home from York... a) Make sure you have room on your layout - they're bigger than they look. (After bringing one home awhile back, you should see my sweetie's reaction when she has seen me looking at another one.) b) I can only imagine that shipping costs would be ridiculous due to the dimensions of the box, and packing one to prevent damage for cross-country shipment would be a challenge. c) T-Repro and MTH are virtually identical - does it have to be T-Repro? d) They tend to be found in various conditions - dents, scratches, bent or missing parts, etc.; it's hard to decide for someone else if the price fairly reflects the condition.
Just some food for thought, and you have time to come up with your own answers. They're very impressive, and I hope you can find someone who has enough room in their car to help you out.
