I am working on this Atlas GP35 upgrade.  Pretty much everything is straight forward except for proto coupler.  The MTH coupler attaches differently to the truck than does the Atlas,(the Atlas connection looks like an enlarged Kadee housing).   The Atlas coupler is TMCC.  Before I try and manufacture a way for the MTH coupler to attach, has anyone tried to use a TMCC coupler with a P2 or P3 board.  Don't want to short out the coupler FET on the P3 board if it won't work.

TMCC couplers didnt work with PS2, so I assume PS3 is the same way. Last time I did an atlas/PS2 conversion I drilled out and re-tapped the hole in the truck so I could just hard mount a PS2 coupler to the bracket on the rear end of the loco. I left the front one alone and just didnt wire it up. Sometimes things like this are just things you think you lose in the upgrade, but honestly, I hardly ever use the electrocouplers anymore, an 0-5-0 works just as well.
