Boulder Model Railroad Club 38th Annual Model Train Show

Hey Mike!!!!!!!!   believe it or not, I have a wedding to go to at/ near Aurora Colorado during the week of Dec 11 - 16th.  Is Boulder nearby?

   If so, I may be able to drop in.

  The Boulder County Fairgrounds are located in Longmont ,Colorado. You are about 40 miles away from Aurora. Speed limit is 75mph on 1-25 north of Denver. You can be there in no time. I'll have a cold one waiting for you!

  I will try my best to get there ( i am renting a Cherokee).

       the brides' relatives are living in Aurora......and my relatives used to live in Aurora for about 10 years.

       My nephew who is getting married annoyed his future wife so much during the wait in the line to see a movie (at Aurora) that the "bug off" argument eventually led to a date and now ( eight something years later) the wedding.

more to it than that...........but if ya care to know, I'll tell ya over that beer!

 I won't be giving you no Coors. There are too many good micro brews here in Colorado. 3 in Longmont alone!

  When is the bachelor party ?

Well Mike............we went on Sunday; got there about noon, and walked the show and the mineral/ gem show too!

    When i asked the 3 rail guys where you were, we got either blank looks or "I dunno, never heard of him"!

    Can't say I tried!!!!!      At least my brother-in-law and I got some "train fever" and we thank you for making it snow at Denver Co. That was quite Christmas-y!

  Sorry I missed you. I don't know who you talk to but I could not have been far.

 There was chili in the crook pot and a cooler of Christmas ale from the Breckenridge brewery under the layout. 

yes I am befuddled that the three or fours guys we asked (even my bro-in-law asked around) didn't hear of a "choo choo mike".

     the whole trip out there from Denver to Longmont was still truly worth it; the Colorado scenery; the snow that licked in Sunday as we drove out; real nice people and seeing train and ya turn around and see it is snowing like crazy.

   someday we will catch up!

Ok Jim point out the guys you spoke to so I can fire them ! Wait ,we have no leadership I can't fire anyone.

  We had a few new people with us last weekend who don't read the forum who might not know me as Choo-Choo Mike.  That little guy only knows me as Dad.

  Next time your in Colorado drop me a line so I can serve you that beer I own you and I can show you some bigger layouts I think you might like !

cause of folks like you...........ok the outdoors also has something to do with it.....I hope to go back someday
