Hah - I can only attribute it to a temporary loss of judgment !
Picked up a set of 6111s at Joplin on 7/15:
No logs, but I did have some 3/8" dowels knocking about the garage, so, a little X-acto miter box work later:
Voila!

After two dealers ( The first one got mad and cancelled my order) and almost two years of waiting, This arrived today!
Here is a MTH Railking for comparison.
I think they look good together! @Walter Matuch did an outstanding job on these tankers!

Here's the boxcar.
Who is the signature:
It also came with a letter acknowledging the recipient has a ticket to tour the Weaver Models Factory. The letter is signed by George Seil - Tour Coordinator. It also shows "OGR Publishing, Inc" located in Poland, Ohio.

Jim Hayter was the owner of Weaver.
Oops! I did it again… (Mea Culpa for that pop reference ). Lately, one of many avenues of collecting I’ve been pursuing has been to purchase items from railroads that run in and around my neck of the woods in NE Pennsylvania. So off I went to Grzyboski’s on Saturday morning for a couple of recent Lionel Reading & Northern items:
First up a 60’ boxcar - nicely detailed with crisp, interesting paint scheme.
And a nice pair of Unibody tank cars.
Looks like I’ll have to pull out one of my Reading & Northern engines to pull these.

Nice cars Paul. I like the map on the box car.
Just what you need....another excuse to buy trains......
Bob
@Apples55 are you trying to tempt me with those R&N tank cars? I can see it now order a few harmless tank cars and all of a sudden I’m putting in an order for METCA’s R&N SD50. Then of course I’d have to have a caboose.
@leapinlarry forgive my ignorance; BTO?

Thanks, Bob. And what do you mean excuse??? That’s no excuse… it is carefully thought out reasoning

I am appalled, Bob, APPALLED I say that you would have the temerity to suggest that I, of all people, would be trying to tempt you . Now I have to check METCA’s store - have 2 R&N diesels, but could really use a caboose
P.S. BTO means Build To Order.

Sorry I didn’t mean to infer there was a Reading caboose there. I just realized I’m immune to the SD-50. It’s too young for my roundhouse.

Bah-humbug
Have to start looking for a R&N caboose
Just got delivery of a 4-6-2 Reading 8004 (Lionel 6-18004). After the usual "new-to-me" maintenance it runs like new. It looks really good with my Frank's Roundhouse Reading passenger cars (if I'm honest with myself, even better than my 4-8-4 18006 T-1 looks with them).
