So recently I've seen a few battery powered O scale trains, and they were using Tsunamis in them for sound. It got me thinking "could the future O scale trains have a battery powered option?" I would maybe try it. But here are some downsides I can think of 1: the battery's probably won't last long. And will take up a good chunk of space. 2: I'd have to get radio throttles, extra battery's, etc. and 3: price, why? Well the battery's will probably cost a fortune for company's to put in. 4: signal disruptions, now i don't know about you but my experience with radio control hasn't been the best. I've lost a signal before with other stuff. But, there are its upsides such as: no more worrying about dirty track, no extensive wiring or transformers, and that you could run your stuff on other people's layouts if they run electrically. So who knows maybe it could happen, but I'll wait and find out.
