I'am a little out of my comfort zone on this one so I'am turning to the experts for some help. I've already searched the forum but found nothing addressing this specific problem.

PS2 locomotive with a fried board. I replaced it with a PS3 "stacker" board. The conversion went well with all functions working ( directional control, lights, sound etc). However there is no coupler operation, neither front or rear. Pushing the coupler button on the remote produces coupler audio but no mechanical operation.

I've already performed the following.

(1) Multiple factory resets.

(2) tested the feature with a known good coupler.

(3) Confirmed that there is continuity on both the purple and black wires between the 12 pin connector on the board and the couplers themselves.

(4) Confirmed that there was NO continuity between purple and black wires and the frame or any other pin connector.

At this point I'am not sure what the next step is. I've ruled out the board as being the culprit as it is new directly from MTH. Does the PS3 board use a different coupler with a higher/lower resistance value? I believe they are nothing more then solenoids. Does any pin locations need to be changed or is it a plug and play affair?

Any feed back would be appreciated as I have spent way to much time on this not to have a 100% working unit.

Bob
