I will have to check my manual when I get a chance but I don’t ever remember the default password being “8888”.

been a while since I had it out but from what I remember I always just leave it blank. I don’t know if this will help but I’ve made a couple of videos. I guarantee that they aren’t the best but hopefully one can answer any questions

I think you should be less modest about your videos! The first one above was a help in reminding me how this is supposed to work - and does with mine although I kept the setup as simple as possible.

An earlier version of the Lionel WiFi cam manual is available online although not on the LionelSupport website as far as I can see: https://fccid.io/LIV-WIFICAM1/.../User-manual-3665893

There was an earlier thread on these cars that pointed out Lionel had only slightly amended the manufacturer’s own manual for use in connection with the Lionel App, which itself is basically a generic WiFi cam app and includes functions the theater car does not actually have like being able to pan the camera.

Anyway according to the manual the default P2P password is indeed 8888. I am not sure whether from the footage at about 10 mins. into the video you actually need that just to operate the car using its onboard WiFi transmitter instead of piggybacking on to a home WiFi network. I know I did not change the password on mine but I don’t remember it being needed to access the onboard WiFi.

You have to hold the reset button for about 10 full seconds, then wait a couple of minutes for everything to boot back up.  The manual states something like 3-5 but that has never worked for me.

MrMoe50,  thanks. It has been a few years since I put the Theater Car on the layout and for the life of me I couldn't get it to connect to my WiFi network. I did push the reset button but it didn't work until I read your post. I held it for 10 seconds and within a few seconds, I was connected.
