Or how about another F40PH? Like a what-if Amtrak Phase V paintscheme.

Agree. 3R's love to burn money on silly stuff I guess.
You wont find that goofy stuff in H.O.
O will never move past its stereotype toy image.
Oh yeah? What about the "Bradford exchange and their "Star Wars" sets with F7's!
Vision line Thomas the tank engine! This is the catalog.... I can feel it!!!!!

And new paint schemes for the Cabbage units. Phase IV, Phase V, and "Honoring our Veterans" schemes.
Im honestly wondering what they have in store for the Traditional and the Lionchief department. Im still awaiting news, videos, and stats from the BNSF Tier 4 set introduced in 2018.

Agreed. The only O gauge I have is traditional-size, and even in that I’ve only ever wanted/bought items with “real” road names. Only exceptions are a Polar Express set and an MTH aquarium car full of penguins...

Imagine the possibilities
Why not, Department 56 recently came out with a frat house. Snow Village Greek Chapter House
I’m hoping Lionel makes more vision line stock cars, this time make them scale! We have quilling cows, how about quilliable squealing pigs or neighing horses.
I'm not even sure on what else they could possibly make.
I would like to see a couple of BTO Legacy Buffalo Creek Railway 080's or 060's made............Paul
I guess the catalog might come later than I hoped.
If Ryan @Conrail6358 is around it would be nice if he could tell us a date it will be released.
I just saw on Facebook that the catalog will come out on the 23rd!

Just enough for us lucky few to review, digest, and bombard the Lionel Team with Questions at the "Big E"!
I hope it has a Lion Chief Legacy in it!!! And some cool Southern stuff! Maybe some Christmas and Halloween too! I guess we will find out next Wednesday!

Even though the page does indeed say 2019 I didn't see anything new. Trainworld lionel-2019-new-releases-taking-preorders
Looks like a mis-print, or a marketing ploy, or Lionel is not making anything new in 2019. But the items listed are all from 2018.

I could see it being a marketing ploy in terms of these will "deliver" in 2019 rather than being strictly new offerings.
WHAT!!! A lionchief plus big boy!!! HOLY SMOKES!!!!
CW80 out of the catalog... New DC power source in??? Couldn't tell.
Cant wait to see the Legacy ES44AC BNSF Tank Train Set listed in the 2019 Catalog. Hope they just dont throw it in a brown box like the Salad Bowl Express, and charge 1000.00 not working!
I don't see it on Facebook.
It's on YouTube search Lionel trains
This Facebook page flipped through the catalog very quickly, I saw a few things in there that looked interesting. https://www.facebook.com/thund.../?type=2&theater
That's worse than the kid on youtube.
I can wait til the 23rd. The preorder deadline will be the same.
How do you get early access to the catalogs? I want to do that too.
A bipolar??? Yukkkkkkkk
I can't wait for the J3a Hudsons, 611's dome car, Bi-Polars, Excursion 2-Pack, ES44ACs, and Polar Express Passenger cars.
Is there a Hudson in there?
The current YouTube presentations are a bit annoying ... but, oh well.
I'm hoping the stock market goes up ... I'll need the money for the Santa Fe gold not to mention the Promontory LionChief+ set. And, there will be more on my order sheet.
The 23rd can't get here fast enough.
Those new ES44s are looking awesome, and they appear to have the headlight in the correct locations for the models. I might just pick up the CitiRail and/or the BNSF versions. Looks like I will for sure need to find a job as soon as possible.

One of the best features of that kid's "bit annoying" YouTube presentation was listening to him trying to say "Promontory."

That was hilarious. Also at 4:06 when he breezed past all the Legacy stuff and muttered "if you're an adult, you can still recognize these trains".

I'm not sure if that video was better than nothing. I sure wasn't into the kid's opinions, and turned the sound off about a minute in. He kind of blew through the front of the catalog, which is where I do my shopping. From what I did see, I didn't see anything I can't live without. When is it supposed to go live, tomorrow?
