Yes but never had a positive answer.

I don't know what they look like Daniel, but how about a necklace chain? some are pretty thin to bigger links....might be a cheap match.

Yes Dave i could do one but i have never seen an original one and i don't have any idea of the size of the chain rigs. Just have seen some pictures on books and the internet. Thank you.

The MTH Parts folks are very nice to deal with. Over the years, I have gotten SG steam drive rods, SG Bild-a-Loco pickup roller assemblies, and light bulbs for my SG engines! I believe the curent production LCT includes a set of LCL containers with chains for separate sale.

I did a quick search for “model ship chain” and came up with Modelers Central. They have a pull down menu for chain. Micro Mark also seems to have chain.

I checked the latest LCT tinplate catalog and they show the three sets of three containers, but no chains? I would call the MTH product info person and ask if chains are included.
