I'm looking to see who may have a plastic part for a Lionel PRR shark. It's a Century Club II version in Brunswick Green and is the front (nose) right hand side door that covers the volume potentiometer. Who should I contact to get such a part?

Hi, I checked the Lionel parts pages for these and didn't see a separate door listed,maybe only available with the shell. Could you post a pic of where it goes and if you have the one from the other unit post a pic of it? Maybe the repair guys get better listings on the Lionel site if so here are the engine numbers.

Your only other option I can think of is a call to Lionel parts and talk with Dean.

Hey Doug... thanks for looking that up. This is a double door right on the nose under the headlight. You open it up to show the volume potentiometer. It sure does look like it's lumped into the shell which looks like that'll cost $125. That's a non-starter for me. Now it does say that the shell is available from North Lima Trainworks so I'll call them to see if they can part with that one door - it's small, 3/8" by 3/4" at most. Now if that doesn't work I could get the one from the other AA unit and have someone (mold maker???) copy (mold, 3D print?) that. Anyone every do that?
I would still check with Lionel as the newer legacy sharks most likely use the same tooling. Maybe someone on here can verify if they still have the doors.
