Lionel "Partial shipment" SF Map Slogan cars | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Another recent post that the Lionel VL Centipedes have shipped prompted me to check on the Map slogan cars (two sets of #17741) that I ordered. Lionel's shipping schedule has been chanced in the last day or so to list a "Partial shipment" on Aug. '12.

Anyone seen this before? I assume it means they did not get all they had contracted for, so I suppose some who order get their sets and some people who ordered don't. Here's hoping!

"Partial shipments" are fairly common. I guess it would depend if the "partial shipment" was large enough to cover the preorders versus the extra store inventory, then you might just get yours.

Usually it means the balance of orders will be coming soon.
