Lost control of PS3 engine

I bought a new PS3 NS SD70Ace (30-4219-1) engine on Saturday, 10/20/2012.  I ran this engine all week without any problems whatsoever.  Last night I ran the speed up 75 smph.  When I attempted to reduce the speed the engine did not respond.  The engine would not respond to any DCS commands: bell, horn or couplers.  I am running the latest version of the DCS system powered with a Z1000 brick on Fixed channel 1.  The only way to stop it was E-Stop button on the remote. 

   

After reapplying power and trying the restart the engine I got the error message “Engine not on track.”   To make a long story short, the engine will not respond to commands from Fixed Channel 1 but functions correctly on Fixed Channel 2, with a second Z1000 providing track power.   I did a Factory Reset of all 3 components: engine, DCS remote and TIU but the problem continues. 

 

I read in Barry’s book that the DCS signal can turned On or Off for a given TIU channel.  Wouldn’t the TIU Factory Reset turn the DCS signals On for all channels?    Any suggestions before I send the DCS System back for in warranty repair?

 A factory tiu reset should however you can also use  Menu/System /DCS set up/AON   (all channels on)
 
 You also may have blown a fuse on fixed 1...  I'm just not sure whether a blown fuse on  Fixed 1 will allow the tiu to turn on,  You need fixed 1 powered or an AUX power suppply to turn on the tiu. The fuse is worth checking out , might save you sending the unit for repair, Funny thing about the fuses, they're on the Ground side, (i know wrong term) rather than the hot side.
 
After a E-stop, both tiu and remote must be shut down and restarted, don't forget about the aux power supply if using one. Good luck.
