Need help, does anyone own this set. I have been looking for some photos of the battery powered dc motor, showing all the electric wire hookups. This is powered by a D cell battery and the set is from 1959. Thanks for any photos.

I have one of these, will take a look at it tonight, and see if I can post a couple photos for you.
I took a look at the Marxtronic switcher, I will try to attach photos of the following: Red wire goes to right side of motor ( engineer's side) Green wire to left (fireman's side) of motor. These wires go to a contact under the slider that changes the loco's direction. Doesn't look too friendly to service. The first black wire goes from the lower rivet on the fiber on/off switch, through the hole, to the left rear copper contact. The second black wire goes from the rear battery contact to the right rear battery contact. Will try to add photos, if everything cooperates.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Made an attempt to repair this today. Once I got it apart, that was a challenge in its self. I discovered some frame rust and rusted contact strips underneath the second plastic block, which where too far rusted, and made it difficult to make correct contact strips. But it was a fun attempt in trying to get it to work, so I'll keep my eyes out for another switcher drivetrain. After all I have the set box in great shape all the track and the two rail cars plus the switcher body is in great shape. Not done yet.
One of my repair customers handles some Marx items, his email is: treetoptrains@yahoo.com and his cell phone is 610-844-5234. Tell him Luke sent you.
