A couple of years back I do believe it was 2009 I purchased the Menards Flatbed car with Yellow semi trailer with Paul Menard #98 Racing graphics. At the store i opened the package (not sealed from manufacture ) to check the other side of the car to make sure no scratches or defects. and low and behold i gently slide the car out of its package to inspect the car and i discover the other side of the cars graphics were applied perfectly but inverted. I know these cars are/were of a limited numbered run.

so i purchased this car and the car behind it on the shelf so i could put one in my consist. Does any one know if the value of this car increased or who or where i could take it to to have it appraised. Or is the value mine know i have a numbered mistakethat got passed quality control? Im just looking for answers. as it stands right now the car has never been out of the box and never been put on the rails. all opinions who be taken and thought about ...Thanks for your help

Bill T, this unit was one of the earlier ones.... made nonetheless in China, but by/for  Lionel.   It bears little resemblence to the very low-end stuff Menards has released in the last 2-3 years... with crummy couplers, hot-glue assembly, and "sticker" graphics.   Fastrack Tim, you may indeed have something of value (to someone) as it was made for Menards by Lionel.   (BTW, Tim... the year of release will be stamped on each side of the flatcar.)

Bill T,

You are correct the year was 2009. I have seen Lionel Flatcar with their

trailers on board. I has also have looked on the duplicate of the car in question for any identifying marks and have come up empty, my next step would be to disassemble the other car, and to be honest its rolling smoothly couplers are working great I think ill leave it alone...because if it aint broke dont fix it!
