What material is the  bridge's stone work made from?

OK, here are a few.

Steve - Thanks.  I made a 1/4' Masonite frame and then coated it with 1/8" pink foam.  I then scribed the stone work and painted it.

Milwaukee 261 and me at LaCrosse, WI, June 2002. Excursion from LaCrosse to Chicago via Savanna, IL.

This is the June 2002 261 trip from LaCrosse, on BNSF track enroute Chicago. I am on the train. There were no photo run-by's on the trip (thanks BNSF), photo was shot and kindly provided to me by Keith Schmidt.

What happened to that Hiawatha in the magazine article above?

It is one of my favorite model railroad photos.It is from a clever Model Railroad article of a Hiawatha discovered in an old barn and then restored and put into excursion service on various layouts.

That is a parade car the Milwaukee Road made.The MRHA saved the remains shown in the picture of the engine in the field.It is stored safely now.

 You have some fine models and photos of great milwaukee road equipment. I  believe you folks have joined the SMF club very similar to the SPF club.

Nice set! I thought I was the only one who had one of those. Is yours conventional or PS/2? I managed to score a diner for mine a few months ago; I had been looking for years for one at a reasonable price. There's been one on the Bay for a year or so at a Buy It Now price of $500, but I wasn't interested at that price. Finally found one at an estate sale in Scottsdale. No pic, but I do have a few of the original set.

A couple of minor kit bashes. The locomotive is a renumbered traditional-style Lionel GP7 body on a repainted SD9 chassis. Caboose is a repainted Lionel transfer caboose. 

Dear "nativefl", the Milwaukee you posted is an SDL39, My favorite. They only built 10 of them. They are now re-gauged to 5' and in Chile.
