I recently purchased a pair of NOS New York Central baggage cars from the 2018 catalog (6-85336). The cars are pretty much perfect and beautiful out of the box, with one minor exception. One of the journal boxes came off and was in the box. The truck is die-cast. What is the best glue to use to reattach the journal box??? Thanks.

JB Weld? Never used it but IIRC it works great on post war cast bodies.
JB Weld as mentioned is a good choice but takes a long time to set up.
I use this epoxy for many jobs, sets up in 5 minutes, however, let it fully harden for a few hours.

I missed that prior discussion and Ryan’s solution. It looks like my journal is intact, so I’ll try and press it back in tomorrow, and I may consider adding a touch of CA as he mentioned. The epoxy solutions did concern me since I’ve never used epoxy before and the end of the axel being right under the journal, with my luck, I’d lock up the axel.
