First, Merry Christmas to all fellow Forum members.  I hope your season is full of the Joy the season is meant to bring.

Having a great Christmas here.  On the train front, Santa delivered a brand new MTH RK Dreyfus Hudson (PS3) - a real beauty!  Unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting her to run with my DCS system.  A side note, I have two other MTH RK PS3 steamers, both run fine using my DCS . A synopsis of the Dreyfus Hudson symptoms:

- I added the engine to my DCS system no problem.  I hit the "start up" key on the remote and the headlight came on as well as the smoke, but no sounds.  The engine responded to the thumbwheel, but still no sounds.  I checked the master volume and toggled the "ENG SND" key on and off, but still no sounds.  of note, the back-up light on the tender does not illuminate when running in reverse.

- I tried a "factory reset" and re entered the engine to see if that would help.  Now I not only do not have sounds, the engine won't move either.  I can control all the lights and turn the smoke on and off, but no sounds and the engine does not respond to the thumbwheel.  Curiously, not only does the engine not respond, the speed readout on the remote stays at 0 mph when I roll the thumbwheel.  Again, both my other MTH PS3 steamers are working fine

That sums up my problem .  Any advise on how to get my Hudson up and running greatly appreciated.

Update - I shut everything down and reset the drawbar plugs.  Started back up and I am back to the beginning - smoke and lights all work and the engine runs, but still no sound or back up light on the tender.  Its behaving like the tender is dead.  Has anyone had a similar problem with a PS3 engine?
