First let me say I modified the engine by replacing the battery with a BCR2. At one point the Shay was working okay and then it derailed. After that it would not work. I deleted it from my engine list and tried to add it back in. The remote said it could find no engine. I placed it on my short setup track and tried again to add it back in a number of times. Still no joy. I then tried to recover the engine but that didn't work after a number of tries. All this time it just sat on the the setup track with no lights, nothing. I tried a reset via the transformer (z-4000) 1 w and 5 b but still nothing a number of times. Is there anything else that I can do before I take it to the shop for repairs. I wish that MTH had built into the Z-4000 one of the programs to reset the engine to know that I had not flubbed the engine reset via the transformer. Note: power to the test track is supplied off fixed 1 on the TIU.
