I've done some ERR in conventional engines, but not as old as PW. I haven't really loved the results as to sounds, but running was good. The one issue I see is maybe inability to run as a train with Legacy engines. I would be more interested if one could do aftermarket Legacy with appropriate sounds.

I not sure but don't believe aftermarket legacy is available yet but I have been out of the loop on that for a while. I have done modern engines with pul-mor engines in them with no problems. the only one I had a problem with was a 8111 as there is an extra wire from the wounding that you just don't use you let it hang in mid air basically. you only use two of them. I went back and forth with Ken on that one we finally figured it out after I sent pics as he couldn't understand me talking about a 3rd wire had to show him. He never seen one like that. I think the Coca cola engine is the same way. Oh I did add sound to it and it was fine

I am sure you could do it in the non bell ringers but I would suggest a Williams repro would be a better choice. I have found a couple for well under a hundred bucks I have put ERR cruise and railsounds in. In fact one engine has an ERR cruise lite in it. That put my total cost for the engine and electronics for under 200 bucks.

Dear Chuck

I keep hearing that ERR should provide a Legacy type of board. ERR price is still reasonable for TMCC board vs MTH PS2/# upgrade kit. I have to agree with you that ERR should put out a Legacy system.

Dear Bill

Ken is great at ERR but sometimes a few photos always help show the big picture.

Dear Ken

That engine was price right, how it got in to the electronic basket, checked out and paid and shipped to my office I will never know (LOL). Your right about  total price has to make sense well for the install.

Dear Marty

I saw the video on YouTube, thank you.  I have to ask the gentlemen who posted the video where he placed the speaker.
