Good Afternoon!

Since I have completed my installation of my MTH DCS, I have a Z1000 that I am not using.  I am curious, can I take the power supply for the Z1000 and plug it into the TIU to power the TIU?  I also have another question.  I have a real nice MTH DD40AX with proto sound.  I need to upgrade it to PS2 or even better PS3.  Do any of you know where I might purchase an upgrade kit?  Thanks!

Regards upgrade, several posters are MTH techs and could do the upgrade for you.  Most indicate that they are MTH certified in their signature lines.

MrUnionP,

As Barry indicated you can use the Z-1000 Transformer to power your DCS TIU, however I bring your attention to the Radio Shack 18/24 Power pack.  You can usually picking one of these RS power packs up on the Bay for about $10.00 used.  Why tie up a quality transformer to power your TIU when these RS power supplies are available at little cost.

I also agree with Carly, we have some great techs who participate here on the OGR, Guns or GGG and others can upgrade your engines.  In fact Guns (Gunrunnerjohn) just upgraded a 249 Tin Plate Engine & Tender with ERR for me.  I highly recommend you consider using one of them to upgrade your engines.
