Rail King bump and go trolley motor

I've got one without the worm gear; if you're interested, drop me a line.    Alternately, the modern Lionel bump and go trolleys use the same motor, but, again, you'll have to do a worm swap.

I am pretty much a postwar guy and have good success repairing postwar stuff. This motor and gear look pressed together, sounds like a good plan but how do I open the motor. Thanks for your help.  Bill Makel

I have an MTH Rail King trolley that has a good motor, but the reverse doesn't work. Otherwise excellent condition and I may have the box.  If interested let me know at

Frankly, you'd be better off with Lew's offer, I think, as that motor will be a drop-in install.   Keep us posted!
