All yours now?
In my dreams...HA...but I really would have liked that CRACKLE BLACK 400E, as well as the PRIDE LINES Voltamp Interurban!!!
I got a little carried away with the January NETTE auction but have some things I always wanted on the way. Nothing in this price range though. In fact, all I bought was less than any of this. I now have a Lionel O27 Southern Crescent on the way!
I bought the GG1 set in my dreams.
Shows that there's still a market for the good stuff! Thank goodness the collecting segment is still alive and well!
How many of you would like to come home and tell the wife that you paid $2800 for a 65 year old torn empty box? My train days would be over for a while. I couldn't do much with 2 broken arms....or worse.
I quickly realized that I was way out of my league. Makes me truly apprciate the fact that Mike Wolf has a passion for tinplate and makes tinplate reproductions available for us to purchase and enjoy.
Gerry,
HA HA HA you are so right. Thanks for the morning laugh!

Sitting here thinking how AUCTIONS can help you LEARN which items are so cost prohibitive that you may as well buy the MTH equivalents. The 392E and Girard Cars are right on that nebulous dividing line. Should I buy the originals??? Or should I buy the shiny new LCT by MTH??? I've been batting that back and forth for months now!!!

True that. While I'd love to have some of those magnificent trains above, the fact that MTH/LCT is offering a wide selection of repros in both O and Standard Gauges is great for the hobby.
Speaking of which, surprised nobody has started the "where is the 2013 Tinplate catalog" thread yet. I assume it's going to be released to coincide with April York.
