My wife Connie wrote an article, including photos, that was published in the NMRA Magazine (June 2020)

I was flabbergasted when I opened the NMRA National Magazine today AUGUST 2020 EDITION.

A Mr. George Pandelios wrote assertively requesting to see more fabulous 3 rail layouts besides the Glacier Line.

He mentioned Norm Charbonneau, Neal Schorr and my second favorite railroad: Bob Bartizek's horseshoe curve!!!! Layout.

Yes 3 rail layouts can be and are equally as impressive and realistic as 2 rail models of course depending upon the individual layouts.  But we already knew that didn't we?

Now can we convince Kalmbach Publishing Company of that and actually see a 3 rail layout on the pages of great model railroads?

I tried that once and it fell flat on its face. I will be attempting it again in the future. There is a new editor.

Was so glad to see 3 rail get overdue recognition.

Lastly, in the nmra Achievement program (Master Model Railroader) I have 3 certificates of the 7 required in my possession.  I have been in the NMRA 2 years.

I have two others completed and will be turning in the paperwork soon.  That will be 5 of 7.

I am attempting to become the 2nd ever 3 rail modeler to achieve the distinction of Master Model Railroader.

Lots left remaining to do!!!

If you want more articles about 3-rail in the magazine  YOU (3-railers) have to write them.    All of the modeling magzines depend on reader submissions for articles.    They generally do not go out and find layouts and write the articles.    sometimes, maybe but not very often.

So you-all need to keep making submissions.    However articles for the modeling magazines should be based on modeling subjects, not collecting.     Articles aimed at collecting various items generally do not fit well with magazines focused on displaying modeling skills and layouts or projects that display this.
