Had a wonderful get together at Gerry & Sue Morlitz’s beautiful home with a group of N.J. Hi Railers yesterday. Many thanks Gerry & Sue for the delicious food (The cheesecake was awesome) and opening your home to us to get together to run trains and socialize.

So glad to have the time with good friends. I do want to mention that Skip & Diane Natoli were with us and Skip is not a member of the NJHR.
Captain John was the only camera guy in the group, but the camera he had on his flatcar was really neat. You get to see your layout in a totally different way than "from the top". It's sort of scary in its own way.
And thanks to Al Spaventa for urging me to take a shelf Queen off the shelf and run it. The electrons needed to warm up, but that was fine. In the late 1990's, I ordered an unpainted 3rd Rail brass Santa Fe Northern, 3751. Scott didn't really think it was a great idea, but I persisted. A year or two later, the gold Hudsons came out. I have one, but I like my Northern better. Particularly after Mike and his magicians at TrainAmerica upgraded it to proto2. Sweet engine with really good sound.
