I have come across an old video of mine.Of my locosound mountain steamer pulling a long freight train.Well while I had it moving a slow freight.Upon looking the video I noticed that in a spot it sliped but I had to watch it again. And up on watching it again it did slip. But because the locomotive has already passed by.You don,t see it slip but you hear it.What suprised me the most is the fact. The train didn,t seem to losse any motion.Ok every body let the replys begain.

If you did not see the wheels slip in the video because it passed by, you don't know for certain it did slip.  Not saying it could not happen.  I've had wheel slip on some of my locos - rare but it happens.  It happened in the real world, too.  But it all you did was hear it, it could have been a hiccup in the sound synthesizers, or the recording.  Regardless, a big, long train has momentum, a momentary wheels slip would not be easy to see just like that.

My K-Line Mikado makes a slipping sound when starting to get moving.  I've come to really enjoy it. At first I thought it was just a glitch in the sound file. Now I like to believe it was intentional. There is no change in engine acceleration that I can see. Just the sound.

That may be a nice little thing to add to command engines. A button to give the slipping sound and perhaps an effect on acceleration.

I may be alone on this but the sounds and whistle on my K-Line Mikado still blow me away ever single time I run her....without exception.

I have seen my early berkshire Pulling 42 boxcars.Stall and wheelslip I would back up a little and go forward. The train would go forward problem fixed.Rember these first railking didn,t have sounds to them ecept whisttle. And belive me it was wheelslip and I have had to replace traction tires.Because if your not careful you will warp the traction tires.

I have kline semiscale mike that was wp.Its now painted for the seaboard air line.Despite the fact that it is one of my smaller steamer compaired to the others.I have seen it wheel slip every now and then.I have had it pulling 25 to 36 boxcars.I really miss kline because they made good trains.
