Wish list for the next Lionel catalog

I will not say outright what steam locomotive are going to be in the catalog but there will be some scale 20th anniversary products that have not been seen since 2017, scale 8 coupled driving wheeled locomotives similar to the anniversary locomotive, scale 6 coupled driving wheeled locomotives, and 4 coupled driving wheeled locomotives. I do not know road names or any other specifics but these are the type of locomotives I do know.

i really hope one is a halloween engine with another spooky road name

even though i'm not allowed to purchase halloween items until i make my own money i can't get enough of just seeing them in the catalog. i have even thought of naming my railroad one of those roadnames and have it ruled by my character Buddy Jack the Pumpkin Head and the ghost of Al Bowlly as he runs the line singing his songs for eternity in a special haunted concert car.

I would imagine there is some form of Halloween locomotive in this catalog. I do not know if that is for certain as I do not know road name specifics.

No more 64' Woodsided passenger cars that I can't help but purchase!

Bring back Super O Track with wider curves to accommodate today's scale size locomotives.

dude if there's a halloween hiawatha i might SCREAM 1 because its epic like all lionel halloween stuff and 2 because i can't buy it because its halloween and i'm not making my own money yet. by the time i am able to buy it some joker will be selling it on the bay for the cost of Al Bowlly's organs and his instruments.

I wonder if the cover of the new catalog will have the polar express logo on it ?

... Engines that work and do not have to be returned for warranty work 1 or 2 times the first few months it arrives after waiting 9 months for it.   Sorry, but truth, it's what I wish for.   If they achieve that, I'd love a new Allegheny.

Has Lionel ever done a NS operating paint shop with scale boxcar?

If they do release the Hiawatha Atlantic and the Scale Polar Express I am in for both. The previous releases of these are the only two items I regret selling. I am excited to see the catalog tomorrow.

i put lionel 2024 catalog in the bing AI image creator and i got this- Looks kinda like a gp9 with a chop nose hauling an excursion train. hmmm

I accidentally edited out one of my wishes: I’d like to buy a heavyweight 18 inch solarium car.

Another of my wishes is a scale 40 foot stock car with simulated wooden ends.  I didn’t learn until recently that a few railroads continued to use the older cars until railroads stopped hauling livestock on the rails. Those would not only be good for steam-era railroads, but also railroads with second-generation diesels.

The sponsor block at the top of the page shows the catalog cover.  I plan on posting my typical "Whadaya Gettin'" thread.

You sure?  Text says different.

I thought the same thing but it switches to the 2024 catalog. There is clearly a polar berk as Marty said.

There is a new graphic for the 2024 V1 Catalog next to the old 2023 V2 one...catalog not posted by Lionel yet, but soon. But yes, as widely speculated, the scale PE is back.
