With the never ending snow here in New York, does anyone have a Weather Prediction for our annual York Meet?
I am trying to be an optimist that it will be Sunny and Warm.

There will be weather. You can count on it.
Well............I live around 1 hour away to the northeast.
Here in Spring Township, we had another 5 inches of snow TODAY. More in the forecast for this weekend with all NEXT WEEK a good 10 degrees below normal. Then the following week is YORK.
Bring your goulashes.

I've been to York when it snowed, I've been to York when there have been downpours, and I've been to York when the temperature has been in the 90's. The truth is, that it really doesn't make much of a difference now if you're prepared. In the "old days" with the bandit shows, rain made a big difference. Now with everything indoors and mostly air conditioned, the weather isn't as much of an issue.
Just be prepared to enjoy yourself and have fun.

Extended forecast only goes to the 16th, That calls for showers and 41/58.
but 10 day forecast change often.

I've had to work out in all kinds of weather in my younger years. Now in my 60s, I call traipsing between buildings at the fairgrounds to be "roughing it"!

I live about 10 miles away from the fairgrounds and we had an inch or two of snow this morning and it’s gone by this afternoon already. The forecasters keep saying it’s going to start warming up in the long range but as it draws closer they keep cutting temperatures back, I’m hoping they are wrong. I’m ready for warmer spring temperatures.
I live an hour north of YORK we had 4 inches of slushy snow. It's just about gone now at 45 degrees. More snow coming on Saturday along with cooler temps. Hope the weather guessers are wrong?
Think positive - 50's and partly sunny is my forecast!
Be prepared for anything, and you won't be disappointed.
Might as well snow or rain...pretty much does one or the other during most April meets. But I'll still be hoping for nice weather.

19th 69/44 partly sunny, possible thunder showers 60%

Hudsons early in the week and partly dieselized toward evenings. Showers of boxcars with tank cars south to southeast.
It will be dry and 70 degrees inside all of the Halls for all three days of the Meet!
I hope it is nice on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for the bandit meet at the Wyndham.
The normal York temps for that week are 67/41. For other details, look out of the window on the day in question. Based on past experience, carry an umbrella to make sure it does not rain. Once, I left it in the car, and got soaked.
True it will be 70 in all the halls but those of us from places like Michigan always hope for a little taste of warmer weather. Doesn't always happen but it sure feels good on those days that are warm.

Me too. we are arriving a day early to visit the meet at the Wyndham. But if the weather does not cooperate we are headed to Strasburg for some train fun!

Generally, here in York County we have dark at night and widely scattered light in the daytime (and bless you George Carlin!).

Thank You for the Week of York, PA Weather. Now at least I do not have to bring extra wet weather gear.
Until then, lets us all get ready for the upcoming TCA York, PA. Meet.

The weather forecast is just an indicator of what the weather might possibly be.
Sunday, April 22nd looks great, but I'll be gone by then.
Not sure where everyone is getting their weather forecasts but, Accuweather has this. And it looks just like what DENNIS S reported earlier.
I can give you very accurate weather information once that day is over.
Although the weather at some Yorks have been better than others,
JUST BEING AT YORK IS WHAT COUNTS.

The "standard" for York is to always "go prepared for anything from winter weather with snow to balmy early summer short sleeve weather, and everything in between." Pack so you can layer your attire. Not sure why most folks give much thought to what it will be doing weatherwisw during those several days anyhow since most of the time people are indoors (and there is a between-buildings bus available if you fear getting your tootsies wet). About the only folks affected by the weather are those selling at or attending the early-week bandit meets, and those events have pretty much fizzled out in recent years to the point where they are hardly worth attending.

More SNOW, that darned groundhog!
April York, probably about 12-15 years ago....the last year of the Yellow Hall...98 degrees....whew.....it was hot!

I prefer no rain or snow. That seriously affects the parking lots. I find that more than half of my purchases are made in the parking lots at the bandit meets. Sellers in the parking lots are usually more motivated than those inside the hotels or at the fairgrounds. IME.
If it rains at the fairgrounds, if I'm done shopping, I can always go listen to one of Rick Neely's medical lectures.
