Received these yesterday. Will put on scale pilot, couplers and steps this week and close couple the A and B like I did with my Alcos.

Hard to believe the couplers put them so far apart - how many buyers of these will run them on 031 track? Wouldn't it be a better situation to sell them with correct couplers and let those who need a tight radius order long couplers as an option?
C. Sam, as always, thanks for your comments. They do come with some shorter non operating couplers. I will couple the two units right up to the vestibules. I also run both units under the same TMCC ID and they match up well.

Please post more! I have a long cut of ATSF 3-bay covered hoppers that would make these look right-at-home.
The reason the operating couplers sticking out so far is due to all the axles being powered off the worm gear and it interferes with the coil coupler. If there was a way to make a shorter coil coupler, they coupling would be much closer on these. They look and sound great though!
