I'm finally getting around to assembling the 5-rail track "kits" I purchased from USA Track, and I have a question for those who have experience with 5-railing -- Will this number of ties work out OK or is it imperative to fill in every space? I'm trying to leave room for lock-ons and make things symmetrical.

Hi Rob,
That will definitely work. Steve uses a lot of lockons to power his accessories. Finally started building mine a few weeks ago, and it is much easier than I thought.

Rob, the inner rails only need about 4-5 ties depending on the diameter. The existing STD ties will support the trains. The 5 ties will provide plenty of support for rail spacing. This leaves a few gaps to add lock ons for lights and accessories.

Thanks Bob and Steve. Looks like I'll continue building the rest of my curved pieces like the one in the photo. As you said, Bob, it's not too hard to put these together.
