Hello

I recently inherited an old Train set from a very good friend of mine. I have been researching over the net for a few weeks and have found out that it was made around 1939. Some of the numbers for the set are a bit confusing and I think this is causing problems whilst I'm searching for a spare or reproduction part.

According to the 1939 AF catalogue the set number is 304 but I have also seen a photo referring to it as 4603? The locomotive has the number 417 on the cab side and I believe the tender is number 418. Again I have seen the loco in a photo referred to as number 419?

Now to the help. I'm trying to find a replacement boiler front, either original (unlikely I believe) or a reproduction. I have some pieces from the original which came to me broken but there are too many missing parts to repair it. The part number on the back of one of the pieces from the boiler front is PA9097, however, searching for this brought no results.

Can anyone help me find this part?
