I got a electric uncoupler and a 90 degree crossover for .99 cents on Fleabay.
Plus $4.00 shipping.
I consider it in league with the Louisiana Purchase or the buying of Manhatten Island.
Sigh....they didn't pay shipping.
Oh, forgot: 027 ga.

Picked up a Lionel prewar gunmetal 225e at a local charity thrift store for $11.00.
Runs great after cleaning the motor and e-unit. Missing rear truck and tender but looking for the parts is the fun part for me.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Gentlemen,
I finally picked up the 2 Weaver, made in the USA WAG Box Cars I have been trying to add to my WAG Logging Train, I am real happy with the colors and the detailing of these early WAG Weaver Box Cars. I also picked up another MTH Christmas Box Car to add to my Christmas Box Car Train. I really like these particular Christmas Cars with the Christ Child pictured on them. Also picked up an Atlas Premier Steam era PRR Insulated Box Car, that I also really like, details and colors are very nice.

I live in Bullhead City, AZ. We have as many hobby shops here as polar bears.
So I'm going to travel 1 1/2 hours to Las Vegas, NV, Saturday, Dec. 5th to order my National TrainDay boxcar from Lionel.
The Train Engineer is one of the closest dealers there. That's where I'm headed.
Anyone else going to order one? They're really nice looking cars.
Pittsrailfan,
You got to love those Billy Maz MTH Commerative Box Cars, now that sir is a real nice pick up. Billy Maz the Greatest 2nd Baseman in Major League Baseball history,
nobody even close to his almost zero error record producing numerous golden gloves and the twin killing, double play records. The 1st time with my Swissvale buddy Dick Groat at Shortstop, and the all time double play record with Gene Alley at Shortstop, which will never ever be broken again in major league history. I wish MTH would make a Dick Groat Box Car also. It would be sitting right next to Maz's.

that's a great find! I rebuilt mine from a bare shell, and made my own tender.the parts hunt is fun.
I have a bare shell 2026 type, painted the shell to look like a Southern engine Still building it up, need mech, pilot, tender, trucks and the like.
Steamer,
Your 225E with the tender you made is an impressive piece of O Gauge PW Train work.
You might want to break down how you did the tender, especially the matching Gun Metal Paint job for franktrain, got to admit this is one piece of serious PW 225E engine & Tender, infact if it were mine, I would have Guns put a ERR unit in her, for slow speed remote control running.

be sure to share pics of that one Classico.
well thanks guys. just a bunch of junk box parts. The frame is a Prewar tank car frame, a hunk of PVC pipe, and the front half of a 2046 tender shell.found a pair of six axle trucks on da bay. the paint is Rust Oleum another forum member recommended.
and none of that newfangled electronics for this 225E.... she runs great as is.
I've got another 225E shell (gunmetal too) I've thought about rebuilding, but it is missing a chunk in the window area.
I went to the TCA meet up in Cleveland today. It is the third time I have gone. Usually I just walk through and nothing catches my eye. Today was different. Found a Weaver tank car (kit form ) already put together. What made it unique for me was being from western New York Stauffer Chemicals. I use to drive by this plant everyday to work. So I had to have it. A couple of pics..............Paul
Gentlemen,
Just made another deal on a NIB Weaver Masonic Train to add to my Train Collection, thanks to the OGR, ya got to love this fantastic OGR forum. A new OGR member contacted me recently, after reading my old Masonic Train Thread, we came to an agreement and now I will have a 2nd Complete Masonic Train, so I can run a Double Header Masonic Train with 3 fantastic Shriner Cabooses this Christmas season. Thanks to Mark Liss who lives here in Pa, for supplying the NIB Weaver Masonic Train. Eventually I will have Guns (GunrunnerJohn) upgrade the new unused Masonic Train, with ERR to run with my Legacy controls. What a fantastic Christmas this will be for us, a Lionel/Hallmark Santa Train and now an additional NIB Weaver Masonic Train, yep I am a very happy OGR member.
