 I could have made them more detailed. I think If I could have got some brass washers and soldered them in place to mimic the flanged pipe joints it may have looked better. I did buy plenty of pipe joints from Plastruct and never used them here. When you look inside the fueling shed, they look pretty good. It's hard to see any better details where I have them.

 So maybe for anyone thinking of building these, it may depend on how they will be viewed. I get focused on something and work on it. Then I look at the rest that's not done and I get overwhelmed. I like modern stuff and no one seems to cater to that in O.

Tips: print out the picture of the actual fueling rig. Use it as a template to bend brass rod into shape. It takes a few pieces. Solder (or glue ) it together. I even used a piece of HO track on the base as the I beam.

Paint the assembly. Add flex hose. I used the hollow stuff for kids bracelets. I soldered small pieces of different sized wire to form the hose nozzle device at the end. At any distance, that looks good enough.
