Has anyone purchased any sort of cart on wheels to hold your train layout's transformers.  I had built one for my last layout, but it was way too large to re-use this time.  It was also too tall to wheel under my new layout.

I'm thinking of something like a short bookcase, a TV stand, or a wire-metal set of shelves.  I'd really like something on wheels that can be pulled out from under the layout when in use but stowed under when not in use.  It's got to hold 5 post-war transformers and 4 powermasters (although I may mount the powermasters permanent under the tabletop layout).

Just wondering if anyone's already found THE answer before I go onto a lengthy search.

Thanks!

Hi

I got one last year, unfortunately I don't know from what on-line store. I think it was walmart but definitely on-line. It is 22" high, has a pull handle and a bit of an extension tray on one end making it quite long - 36". Top shelf and 2nd shelf have a 1.5" lip around so nothing falls off. I comes with wheels which are useless, I needed to upgrade with good heavy duty casters from HD. These make the height "24"which gives enough room for ZW, on top tray to go under the layout.

I believe the search of 'computer carts' might get you better results. I think that is what it really is, a cart used to move PC equipment around an office.
