i seem to recall a bobber caboose with interior lighting but i can’t find one anywhere. considering the hard time i’m having, i’m beginning to think it may be something i dreamed up, does anyone else remember them/have one?

As far as I know, no Lionel bobber cabooses made with lights. Don't believe they ever used any type of center rail collector on these short 4 wheel cars.
I believe the MTH bobber cabooses are available with lighting. As I recall, the Lionel ones were only ever included in some relatively low cost starter sets and more recently some of the Thomas sets, so no lighting was included.
ah, that makes sense, i got my brands mixed up 🤷🏻♀️. thanks guys.
Yep, I have a number of MTH bobber cabooses with full lighting, they're actually pretty nice units.
Photos show my MTH Premier New York Central bobber caboose with lights on. The marker lamps have a red lens facing rearward but are not illuminated on my model – just interior as shown.

Yup, and here's one such example....................................
And yes, it's definitely cheap alright.

One of a dozen MTH bobbers I have. The Premier and RailKing models are both accurately scaled. This is among my favorites.

Though of simpler, plastic construction, those Lionel bobbers always appealed to me, and at one time, I had about eight different road names. I also had a couple of the very nice and substantial MTH ones.
