"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

earlier today i was thinking about Eddie Layton, the MSG organist i used to enjoy hearing play at Ranger games when i was a kid and on looking up his bio, i caught this line... "He also owned a huge collection of model trains he maintained at his Forest Hills, New York home."  wondering if any train magazine ever did a feature on this iconic New Yorker.  apparently he was not only an avid sailor, but also owned his own tug boat.

thanks...gary

Hmmm, interesting post.  I went looking to, could not find anything.

Another hockey great that is into model trains / railroading is Scotty Bowman.  Your post got me to thinking about him, and I was curious as to what facets of the hobby he was / is into.   Up until today, the only thing I ever saw on line was this bit from Sean Burr, who played for Bowman in Detroit, as was traded to Tampa Bay shortly after him and Bowman had this conversation.

Burr said Bowman kicks over the luggage of strangers at airports. Bowman once asked Burr what Burr thought of him and Burr replied: ''You're 60 years old, you use a horn to make line changes, you play with toy trains. I think you are retarded.''

Today, when I did a web search, I found this article:

Good luck with your search.
