I was browsing a April/May 2008 OGR and page 99 caught my eye. It pictured a car similar to my Dad's old train boxed in the basement. The article refered to one car #61, and indicated it was worth something. These are far from perfect, but wondering if it is worth checking into. The old switchs, track and transformer are there.

Thanks

Chuck

If you could post or email me some pictures, I can help you further.

Good pictures.

I think all the value there is in that they were your fathers.  The one side of the locomotive is fairly decent.  Put it on a shelf with the good side facing out.

because the paint is so rough, unfortunately most of their value to a potential buyer would be in parts.  Hard to put number on it, but it wouldn't be a lot.

None the less, thank you for sharing.  It is a rather uncommon locomotive.

Not a problem.  That is why we are all here on the forum....to learn and help each other.
