I've always wanted a roller test stand to be able to test and debug engines.

Rather than buy one from a retailer, I decided to build one myself. It wasn't too difficult. The hardest part was make sure the rollers were proper aligned.

You can be the judge, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Here's some pics of the roller stand. I ended up making 8 sets of these. I thought that would be enough to handle pretty much any engine.

All the pieces ended up costing just under $70. That included some tool purchases.

BTW...I did not design this myself. There are 2 excellent YouTube videos that walk you through the build process. I followed these and merged ideas from both to build the final product.

Amazing what you can find on YouTube!
