Please review the prior topic, K-Line Heavyweight LED Striplighting Conversion - General, before proceeding.

Before disassembling the car, fix the four large side doors in place using tape, so that they won't fall inward and out during the LED strip installation.

Lighting is only necessary in the immediate vicinity of the doors.  A single LED triplet (2") from a 300 LED, 5m strip will do at each door, as will two LED triplets (also 2") from a 600 LED, 5m strip.  I used the latter simply because it was handy.  Here's a picture of the car with the LED strips and regulator in place:

Note the dollops of hot glue holding the wires to the carbody ceiling.  They may be needed along the LED strips, depending on adhesive strength.  Apologies for some wobbly wiring - but it is secured in place.

The constant-current regulator should be set for a track power draw of 15 mA AC.  This appears to provide adequate lighting for what is essentially an unoccupied car.

When reassembling the car, ensure that the clear plastic squares mounted to the back side of the four large side doors are seated within the cutouts in the car's base plate.  This is necessary to ensure that the base plate is flat against the posts it attaches to, with no bending, and proper working of the doors.

Lastly, remove the tape and check side door operation after completing reassembly.  If the doors don't operate properly, the floor plate will need to be loosened and the doors adjusted.

Here's a picture of the finished car, on the rails:
