I just bought this Erie powered FT-B unit. I’m loving it for the 4 Steam ports on the top.
Seems to take a while to start producing smoke and it takes a lot of fluid in each port to get it smoking well. After she runs a while it’s a nice effect.
Supposed to run conventional as well as remotely. To run remotely you need the 2 AA units.
Conventional operation is a bit odd as my MTH Z1000’s directional button doesn’t communicate well with it. What I found works best is to turn the throttle full off and then back up once or twice. I have no choice on whether it will run forward or backwards and that’s a bit frustrating.
I have a call in to Jamestown Trains but never get a person there.
