I predict that they will show the 8-door 86' Auto Parts Boxcars in this catalog, but without product numbers.
Andrew
NFL team boxcars please.
I'm guessing:
SF scale legacy F3's.
PRR scale 2-8-0 legacy
PRR scale b6 switcher legacy
Is the prediction for SL-SF F3s or ATSF F3s?
Andrew
Why is it that these threads always turn from a "what will they" into "I wish they would" thing?
Because nobody knows (those that do ain't talkin'.) "What will" and "wish they" are essentially the same thing at this point in time.
Besides, a "wish" could come true and a "prediction" fall flat on it's face or vice-versa.
Rusty
A LC+ Consolidation please! Something 1890-1910 preferred.
^^^^agreed, also how about a porter and a few other "smaller" steamer choices?

Brilliant. Then why not forgo the pretense of "what" and simply go straight to "wish".
Plenty of New and Old operating accessories in Plug and Play mode. Instead of the P&P track why didn't they make a P&P SC2 type activation where you could plug in to an SC2
and still work them from your controller.
Prediction:
They will have a series SEABOARD COAST LINE Traditional O gauge freight cars made: open-top hopper, covered hopper, gondola, waffle-side boxcar, flat car with bulkheads.
If not, they will just repeat railroad names on the traditional freight cars.
Andrew
Scale PRR Duplex.
OK, I'll bite.
Since they have announced that the Gantry Crane will be coming with TMCC capabilities, how about a Mi-Jack Container Lift with TMCC?!!! Talk about an easy home run. The used ones sell real quick when they pop up even if they are broken just so folks can use them as static displays. Just imagine if you could fire it up remotely! I have to stop now, I'm working myself into a frenzy!!!
Also would like to see CN Autorack in all YELLOW paint.
Amtrak Viewliners
Prediction:
The O Scale 89' Auto Carrier will be shown in the new BNSF TTX all orange scheme.
MTH Proto-IV BIG BOY in full Santa Fe War Bonnet colors that you can operate using your TV remote.
I predict that the O Scale 89' Auto Carrier will not be offered in the D&RGW Rio Grande orange rack on the Trailer Train TTGX yellow and black flat car this catalog, in order to make everybody wait another year.
If the next Lionel catalog due out in February 2015 doesn't have the NS heritage SD60E #6920 locomotive commemorating Veterans, then the product planning folks have really missed the boat again. End of discussion. (I'd even settle for an SD70ACe if expensive tooling for a new SD60E is the issue.)
That locomotive would be an INSTANT sell-out, no matter how we look at the numbers, and it's the only locomotive from the NS heritage fleet (at least that I'm aware of) which hasn't been produced yet. Why? It's a blaring omission, so let's hope we see it catalog'd this year... from Lionel or MTH. Whoever delivers it first gets my money!
David
Michael, given it's taken Lionel 3+ years to produce the basic set (now due early Feb 2015), wouldn't it be cool if Lionel catalog'd some add-ons AND had them immediately available with the set??? That would be sweet.
David
Norfolk Southern F7s.
I think Lionel is the only one that hasn't done these.
Hopefully, a caboose for the Pere Marquette Berk...
Joe
SD70 in UP not seen since 2009' , N&W Class A and a N&W Caboose
Mike
Please DO NOT make a UP FEF with whistle smoke.
Need a break after those nice VL BBs!
Please don't remake the Milwaukee 261 with whistle smoke, nor finally produce a scale Santa Fe Hudson A Green 5 Stripe GG-1 would be nice...
Swafford, That would be just fine too, but I had my mind on the SD70ACe
I got a fever,Yellow fever!

Could not agree more. You have "HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD" so to speak.
Count me in for the TWO (2) units. I would like to give one to my brother for his service in Vietnam.
If you agree, chime in and let them know how many units you would buy!!!!!!
I would like to see some of the obscure GG1 schemes in 027.( not pink)
also would to see some sort of recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Peanuts Christmas Special.
Also on board with a Vision ATSF F3

I predict the trains will be made in China, too expensive; not in the correct road names; not in the correct paint scheme for the period; the color will be off; the horn/whistle will be incorrect; a locomotive that the real railroad never owned will be made in that road name; the locos will produce too much smoke for some and not enough for others; something in the catalog will be the dumbest idea someone on this forum has ever seen; there will be too much of some things and not enough of others...

Best prediction yet, I think you should get the cigar! Copy this to the MTH catalog predictions thread and you will get two cigars.
