As found and noted elsewhere on the forum, Lionel is showing a lot of new 2019 items on their website today. Go to the “Shop” tab and it is clearly displayed. I doubt if this is everything in the upcoming Vol. 2 catalog, but they show quite a few items here.

I like that NS 8520...
Interesting.

But..... but..... but..... " I thought that was a big LCCA secret" ???
All the $2000 Challengers you'd ever want.
Forget the Challengers - finally Lionel decided to rerelease two steam locomotives they haven't made since (probably) 2002 (even though both are the incorrectly labeled class)!
Finally we can enjoy them with Legacy and (as far as it goes) whistle steam! This is something I hope they continue with in the next coming years.

It was until it wasn’t.
Now that we've all looked at it and don't need to wait for the catalog reveal, looks like they pulled it off the website!
Somebody switched off the links for the new items.
There were O gauge auto carriers for Grand Trunk Western and Southern Pacific that I will have to order through the local store Hobby-Sport.com to extend my O gauge Auto Carrier train.

Someone obviously posted the new items this weekend and then was told to get them off quickly. I liked the new Dash 9's, especially the NS with red Horsehead.
I think this is from the upcoming catalog, but they put them up by mistake.
I don’t like what they are doing to the challenger. I think the Cab Forward and AC9 with Daylight colors is nice but the Milwaukee road S-3 is great but I think things are starting to go out of hand with the fantasy schemes.

Well vote with your wallet. I do!

Didn't Lionel already issued the scale GTW and SP autoracks? Am I missing something?
Or is this the semi scale version?

We should pitch in and buy one for Rich and Hotwater.
These are different paint schemes for GTW and SP on the O gauge model that is smaller than a 1:64th scale auto carrier
Andrew.
If an Auto Rack on an 89' flat car were produced in actual 1:64th scale it would be much longer and taller than the Lionel O gauge auto carrier.

Well, even though I didn't see the listing as it must have been pulled, the real 8520 actually isn't a Dash 9. It looks like one in similarites, but the real name for it is an AC44C6CF.
AC = Alternating Current, 44 = 4,400 horsepower, C mean each truck is 3 axles per truck, 6 is all 6 axles on the unit are powered, and CF stands for the CAF Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, which is manufactured in Spain. For me, I'm still learning about CAF and how it works. I know Amtrak was first to use it and NS 8520 is the first to use it on a freight locomotive for NS. I do recall if I'm correct, it's something part of the trucks are motorized. But I could be wrong on that part.
But anyway, I wanted to help you out on what the unit actually is. But if you really want to call them something, quite a few railfans for the engine style, not paint are calling them - Super 9's.

That's because Lionel's pulled all the New for 2019 items from the website. We weren't supposed to see it yet.

I thought the Clitzy and gaudy Genos cheese steak shop was the ultimate in 42nd ish street but this elegant plumed bird beats it all.
Give my regards to broadway... remember me on Harold's square... you guys know I love ugly engines so I got to buy one of these...
I am in for the halloween RS11 for sure, I am a sucker for halloween trains.
I was ready to buy one of these 2 car set, there are 3 two car sets . Then I saw the prices 400.00 a set, they are the old 18" plastic cars with what it looks to be silhouette windows. I guess I am not the only guy that Likes halloween stuff. 200.00 bucks a car, I need to pass on those, if I were to get all three sets that would be 1200.00 Bucks!
These fantasy trains may end up being the girls train of the future . Get em while they are hot .
