Looks Like It Will Be A Big Boy Christmas After All!

Still waiting on my email notification from Ro, hopefully he has UPS rolling up to his warehouse this morning!

If he wasn't 4 hours away from me, i 'd almost consider a road trip!

I have not gotten an email for tracking from Charles Ro.

In most cases, the only notification on shipping I get from Charles Ro is an after the fact that your package was just delivered. I would not worry about the UPS shipping notice at this point.

Well I talked to them yesterday they told me they didn't have them till today .

At 4 hours away, I would go get it myself.  But since I'm in AZ, and the dealer I bought it from is in NY, I have to wait for UPS, which means mine isn't here until the 30th.

I'm in the Dallas area, mine will be here on the 29th I hope

Just got off the phone with Charles Ro ( 11AM). The guy I talked to, not Ro, advised a truck just pulled up.   He put me on hold and confirmed that the Big Boys just arrived but couldnt confirm if they would be shipped out today.

Yep, sounds like another case "Big Boy Flu".  There an epidemic that is sweeping the country from coast-to-coast.  Best advice is stay home for 4-5 days after you get your delivery.  Lube your unit as per instructions.  Run frequently, not you, just your trains. Drink plenty of liquids and re-fill the smoke unit often.  Sleep is optional.  You can then return to normal activities.

Good News Guys!! I just received an email tracking confirmation from Charlie Ro. I'm sure others will be getting there's as well. I sure hope everyone else gets there's.

Congrats Matt,  while I am remaining optimistic, I still did not receive a tracking number as of yet.

 

Anybody besides Matt get notified by Charles Ro tonight.

I also got my CR tracking number, frustratingly it's only for the label creation.  No estimated delivery date yet.  Pins and needles, pins and needles!

I got mine to unforantly they shipped ups means Monday now ..  Got to love it 3 days to get And Charles ro  is only 10 hours from me.. 

Received a couple of UPS shipping emails from Charlie Ro about 5:30 this afternoon.  ETA for the shipment is Monday, 12/29... as I suspected.  These were for yesterday's pending credit card charges.  No Big Boy on my list... Just a Daylight Cab Forward and a few other goodies.

Yes, I want to clarify that it's just a label created no pick up yet I'll let you know if that changes.

My Big Boy just arrived from the Charlie Nassau Hobby Center! Merry Christmas everybody!

My CR BigBoy UPS tracking number shows delivery for tomorrow (12/24). I can't believe it, overnight!  I guess it occasionally pays to live in NYC.

Mine is showing tomorrow as well :-) now I'm curious about this extra packing Charlie said they were doing. Hope it comes not broken without issues. Hope others get there's as well.

I just put my ear on the tracks and I can hear clinking sounds as if the Big Boy is on it's way down the pike. Lol

My big boy just came at 11 by 2 UPS drivers that came to my door. I'm not opening mine till tomorrow morning since Santa was good to me..I guess I complained enough..lol

Well, I did a very brief track test, but I'm not done yet.  So far, so good, and I love the sight and sounds!  The level of detail is excellent, and the sounds and smoke are to kill for!  This certainly is a home run for Lionel.

 

 

 

I am excited for all of you guys that are getting this fantastic locomotive...

UPS just stopped by and dropped off my BB.  I'm going to try and resist opening it up until I get to the club on Friday.  Video to follow.

 

Less than 24 hours from label creation to delivery!  I guess UPS is making good on their promise to not melt down like last year.

 

 

 

 

For Trainstock, maybe a few of us can get together and double-head these.  I see we got the coupler to make that happen.

 

Charles ro shipped mine today 12-24-2014 preliminary email states;

Scheduled Delivery Date:  Monday, 01/05/2015

Estimated Delivery Time:  09:30 AM - 01:30 PM

I think we have a total of six that were ordered by NJHR members.  Bring yours and we can do a seven-header.  Should have no problem getting up the helix grade!

 

 

Maybe the grade isn't the major problem, we'll have to figure a way to get about 30 amps to the tracks!

 

Good point!    I wonder if anyone can report what the BB draws?

Just got my Christmas present from Charlie Ro......while its not the actual Big Boy......its almost as good, one UPS Tracking Number! 

 

Getting worried for awhile seeing everyone else getting tracking numbers and Big Boys....

thought Santa put me on the Bad Boy list instead of the Big Boy list!

UPS just dropped mine off, put it right under the tree.

No load, level track, all smoke on, anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5A on my meter.  More than any other engine I've tested!
