If true, I think that's a mistake on the part of MTH. These engines will be running through the Northeast Corridor for many years. Lots of people will see them. An O-gauge ACS-64 would sell as many models as MTH did with the AEM-7s, which have been in production for at least fifteen years. Weren't they profitable for MTH?

I thought at least MTH would had built a ACS64. They make locos in Europe that are so similar. They keep producing the AEM7 and like Melgar these locos will be used on the corridor for at least 25 years. I would like may of theses in O scale. I hope Lionel doesn't make it like the HHP8 they were made 2 different ways and I think the details aren't the best.
