Hello

I recently installed a PS3 upgrade kit in my PRR T1 which was PS1. The installation part went well, but I am having trouble loading the sound file. I followed the directions on MTH website. The 1st try the whistle, bell & chuff seemed OK, but the cab chatter sounded like Alvan & the Chipmonks!  I tried another file, but the whistle did not work correctly & there was no chuff.  Now, after a few more unsuccessful attempts, I get an error message & the files will not load at all (please see attached photo of message).

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, and how to fix it?

Thank you

Never ran into a clock issue?  Seems odd.  The load can malfunction depending on power source and occassional board issues.  A load can actually corrupt the firmware causing the board to lock out.  Only a factory loader that loads through pins can restore the firmware.  Something MTH Service would do.

Recommend you let it sit a day, and then go back and try a reload again.  Since this is PS-32 in a Steam engine, you left the flash code alone correct?  You should only load the sound file.  Leave in or use a specific PS-32 steam flash code.  Never load normal PS-3 flash codes into PS-32 boards.  G

Hello

I tried to load the sound file this morning and the program worked properly.  However, I am back to the original problem that none of the sound files seem to be right. I have tried most of them from the web page. The whistle does not work properly (starts & stops abruptly) and there is no chuff sound. It actually sounded better while testing the installation  (before I loaded the files).  I still seem to be missing something. This is my first attempt at loading sound files, so any help would be appreciated.
