Now that's odd as MTH posted on Facebook a month or so back something like "look forword to some exciting new RailKing One Gauge offerings in 2012" when somebody asked the same question.

I see MTH has a new One-Gauge reefer listed for the MTHMRRC. It's listed in the back of the new O Gauge 2012 Vol.2 catalog that went online today.

The new video with Mike Wolf last week at the TCA Museum somebody asked about new stuff and Mike said they still have G Gauge along with O Gauge and HO.

There's plenty of rumors going around and the latest being that Mike Wolf has been in negotiations with some east coast dealers or manufacturers and he's selling them all the one gauge molds!! That rumor came out of last months ECLSTS held at York and was told by a fellow named Shawn.

Andy E was asked about G-gauge at the DCS User Group meeting.  He stated that MTH is still planning to offer G-gauge items.  They have even done designs for a new locomotive in G, but have not been able to justify producing the tooling.  It seems that sales of G have been harder hit by the depression than O and HO.

That, sadly, certainly appears to be true, given the fact that two of the largest Large Scale dealers (Ridge Road and St. Aubins) have folded over the past year or so.

I must admit that the view I expressed earlier is based on second-hand information and a perception that seems to be widespread in the Large Scale community (which I am still a part of).  I would certainly like to see MTH continue its involvement in Large Scale, but they will need to do some public relations work to dispel the notion that they are slowly but surely abandoning that scale.

My idea has been that the sales of MTH ONE GAUGE has probably been slow, but it`s because it only has come with DCS now they`re moving all lines to PCB` with DCS, DC, AC, DCC, MOTOROLA 1 and MOTOROLA 2....so I think they`re expecting much better sales with those Boards installed. They also are working on a Chip to install in DCC ready engines of any "Make" or Gauge that will give the Engine DCS Operation and the other 5 Modes all in One Chip...

I never would have believed that Ridge road or StAubins would leave. I"ve heard a lot of extra trash talk towards MTH in the past. Most was from lack of knoweldge and fear of a new product. Guys love to say they're right.

I'm glad I came to O gauge. I still love the G gauge I have. I want to add more still. Having MTH in the mix only helps. I hope they bring DCC to users in G gauge soon. I doubt they'll offer battery options. A new single channel TIU will help those users.

Aristocraft has been very innovational over the years also with good products. USA and others make good stuff. I just plain like MTH's value. Steel gears and bearings in the right places. Sound and control built in. Too many don't understand their signaling. With the new TIU that should be a thing of the past. I'm switching to DC power to test signals.

My dealer asked about that last week and word is that's being offered in HO only

I certainly hope MTH stay with gauge one!! I like DCS and the Gauge One would go great with my 2 rail O, any thing MTH can do to make installing it in my non MTH loco's would be good. I understand that sales mean staying in business but I wouldn't swop my Overland 8500HP turbine with custom drive for a MTH version at this point (they'd have to  improve there primer version a lot) but I do wont DCS in Her. I don't understand the Motorola 1 & 2 can any one explain? Thanks
