Thanks Mark for the quick response. Without the org. box or papers I can only guess the the correct # 20-3749-1  GS4  4-8-4  w/PS3 Here is more information I got it to run in DCS but a screeching or scratchy  sound is coming from the speaker. I thought the speaker went bad. removed the speaker and checked it, but to be safe put in another new speaker. I keep checking for a short on my transformer but no spikes One other thing when I press start up on my controller nothing happens but if I turn the gray  thumb wheel The lights come on engine moves forward but with scratchy noise also no smoke and transformer shows no short.

Jimmy - go to MTH Home page, click on product locator tab, and, on that page, drop down to cab number. Enter your cab# to confirm that that is indeed your engine. Next, try a feature reset, and if no change, follow it up with a factory reset.
