I cant believe a lot of the cars in the 2016 cataloge are coming out,,,,,its a landslide of stuff,,,,i will try to stick to the covered gon's and bay window cabooses,going to be tuff,,,,

What catalog are you referring to?

I didn't pre-order anything from the 2015 LCT catalog, but I do recall a TON of it was slated for Nov/Dec 2015 delivery. There's just no way MTH could have turned that amount of product around in that short a time-frame if they were mapping production directly to customer/dealer pre-orders.
So how are they doing relative to those delivery dates? I haven't been watching all that closely, but it wouldn't surprise me if most of those dates slip well into 2016. Even if MTH were producing those items "on spec" as opposed to "built to order", they were so late in producing the 2015 LCT catalog this year... I can't imagine everything being delivered by year-end (unless it was already in the manufacturing pipeline before the catalog was released -- in which case items weren't based on any pre-order barometer). No way the market could even absorb half of it, if MTH did manage to somehow pull off the unbelievable.

I could agree, david,,but I didn't pre order anything this time,,,,i used the ol wait and see,which I thought would be next summer at best,,,,,maybe they did it the old way,,,and just made the stuff based on past history,etc,,,,,,even with pre orders,,,,,,just to short of a turn time for me,,,,,santa,,,however no !
I ordered 5 pieces of rolling stock from the latest catalog. All of them have delivery dates that have already passed, and I really didn't think MTH would be able to ship so soon after the catalog came out. Not sure why they published such optimistic delivery dates.
No complaints here, I can certainly wait.
Many of the newly tooled cars has not shipped yet. I will let everyone know when they start showing up in our store.
